End of Summer Reading

I'm writing this on Sunday morning because come Tuesday, my little girl and I will be off our our first Girl's Trip - a much needed escape from the farm, the stupid heat and (most importantly if you ask Evy) from stinky boys, who will staying behind to hold down the fort.

Farmlife doesn't afford much leeway for vacation, so we savour it when it comes.

Instead of bearing all the heaviness we've been surrounded by of late - I wanted to share a book I'm listening to right now that's really lifted my spirits.

It's called 'Dedicated - The Case for Commitment in an Age of Infinite Browsing' by Pete Davis.

I'm sharing it because it made me think of you.

I can't really explain it except to say that it's made me cry, erupt into goosebumps and holler YES!! at the book in turns.

It's a testament to the power of humanity when we slow down and find the courage to dedicate our lives to something bigger than ourselves.

Check it out - hope you enjoy it.

As always.

Best,

Stacey
