Do It Afraid

It *almost* feels like spring is here? Maybe? Tentatively?

Whatever. I'll take it. (Beggars and choosers, folks, beggars and choosers.)

The last few weeks have been a blur of birthing babies of the four legged persuasion and running my two legged babes hither and yon, game to practice, practice to game and game and game again.

In between I've been spec'ing lighting fixtures, trolling antique markets, labouring over the new website, sourcing products and agonizing over paint colours.

I'm exhausted. I am also absolutely exhilarated.

And there it is again - that world of both / and. It is uncomfortable and frustrating and absolutely delicious.

On one hand - watching the money fly out the door keeps me up at night.

On the other - I know I'm not starting from scratch or cliff jumping into shallow water . . . I've got all of you standing behind me (not trying to push me off the cliff, either!). Hehe.

My motto these past weeks has been Fearfully Forward. Because, you know, the idea of fearlessness is a myth.

To make big, brave leaps with our lives, we must accept that fear will always be there. Sometimes it sits quietly beside us, sometimes it backseat drives, sometimes it grabs the wheel with both hands, screaming towards the ditch.

It's ok. It'll ALL ok.

So often our 'what if's are negative - What if it doesn't work out? What if they find our I'm an amateur? What if I make a fool of myself and everyone sees??

Lord knows I ask myself all those things and more. All the time.

But I'm also determined to ask myself this :

What if your curiosity was stronger than your fear? What if you did it afraid?

Farm pickup hours are 1 to 5 Friday and Saturday only. Prepayment is not required - you can pay at pickup. We accept cash, credit, debit and apple / samsung pay.
